Sup everyone. Ive read for a long time just never signed up. I have an 08 24ssv gravity games. I have changed the rear bags to 750s. Im in the process of changing all the kicker speakers to wetsounds 6.5s and get 2 more pro 80s on top. I have also installed a oil drain pump. I have pics of it installed if anyone is interested. I reign in north Texas and am itching to get out on the water.

The tower is powder coated. Waterski Boats Dallas coats most of their towers. I think they look better that way. Ill start another tread on the oil pump here in a bit.

found the most recent pic of the boat before we put it up for the winter and one of my fav mods.
Gravity, nice boat, I have the 2006 model and I love the look of that tower, im about to do some photoshop to see what that would look like on mine. For the two Pro 80s on the tower, did you add any other amp for that or did you wire them into the stock 2 amps?

I added another kicker amp. I forget what model. When I get the second set I will get the larger 4 channel. I will probably end up with 4 to 5 amps depending on what is done with sub. I also have a dual 150 amp output altinator that is going on soon.

I had some pics around here somewhere of swapping in the XS-650's in the Roswell cans, if you haven't done it already.
I did see a post that had it done. I believe it was on here. I guess they would be a direct bolt on. I'm going to get the 80s first. I looked your install page johnnyb. Why did you take the speaker mounts to install the 6.5 in your boat?
Another option, unless you are trying to stay all wetsounds, are the Bullet 6.5". They are black and go very well with the roswell bar (unless your roswell is different than mine, mine is from 06). I hope to have pics posted after this weekend.
The Bullet coaxials and HLCD's (in 6.5") are direct bolt/screw in the roswell cans.
From my understanding, the wetsounds 650 coaxials require some shaving in the cans. However the new wetsound coaxials, rated at less power than the 650's, are a direct bolt/screw in.
I went Bullet due to looks and because they are rated for more power. Plus i didnt have to mod the cans at all. However, i didnt have wetsounds speakers i was trying to match like you do.
THe difference between the two quality wise is preference. Both are top of the line.
The 650's are so much bigger than the Kenwood's that were in there, that I had to cut out the holes for them to fit. In order to do that, I had to disassemble the panels. Notice how when in the boat the speaker is tucked under the vinyl?Quote:

One other thing, I noticed it looks like you have the old push button swivel board racks, how are they holding up for you? Many of us with '07-'08's had to have them replaced because they were becoming very loose. Roswell will replace them for a $100 for a much better pin-style set-up that will not shake, or rattle when you are driving the boat.
They just started coming loose at the end of the season. Who do you need to get ahold of? Just call Roswell? I was also kicking arround the idea of igetting one of the new tower that just came out. But tt may be more than I would like to spend.
I actually just ordered the new swivels. Mine started sticking and one was actually stuck for a few days. I finally played with it enough to get it spun around. I should get my new swivels on Friday!
Just email them and they will send you a credit authorization form. Its $100 plus shipping. To Washington State it was $15. I think it will be worth it for sure!
Can you post some pics of the new ones. I may see if they can be rebuilt.

Wow Fman, yours are much shinier than mine. When i bought the boat the racks had water spots all over them. I haven't had time to get out there and try to clean yet. But any recommendations on the best thing to clean them up with?
Mothers polish is the best, use terry cloth towels, wipe on like wax and buff it off, every time it will get better and better. You will see the black residue on the towels, the stuff is great.Quote:

The new pin style is much safer and will not break free, plus the pushbutton style has that wierd pin-lock screw in system. Drop that pin in the water and game over. The new style has a pin with a cable attachment just in case it falls out of your hands.Quote:

Just got the new swivels put on. They are much better and there is NO play when they are locked in. That little rubber stopper is nice. I think these will be MUCH better this summer :grin:
