While not my personal style, it's easy to appreciate the theme and execution. Great looking boat overall. Have you had any people stop you and ask about the name?

Not so far, but honestly, I've had it out 1 evening since I got it done and the river and boat dock were pretty empty last night.

Well, I obviously didn't do it to impress you, LOL. (and come on man, be nice. Aren't we all here about learning through sharing and enjoying each other's passion as enthusiasts?)

I knew from the start that there would be plenty on this forum that wouldn't like the direction I took it. But I'm totally fine with that. I mean, I can tell that the predominent mindset of those on this forum with the "older" Supras is that it's all about the "classic" look with the Classic wave, and the Classic font and the Classic stripes... Honestly, I could give a rip about that stuff.

The previous owner actually had the Chrome embossed "LAUNCH" lettering on the stern, and I'm not one to be a "badge poser" saying that my boat is a model that it's not (like a 328i owner that badges their car as an M3).

I think it's fun and my wife and son totally dig it, so we're most certainly gonna rock it with pride.

Trayson--I think Haugy is just jealous he didn't think of it himself! Hahahahaha!

Like he just said, if you like it then that's all that matters. Ultimately it's your boat for years to come, and stickers can always be removed. Now if you put on some ugly tower or painted over gelcoat (like my boat), I can see people getting upset!

Very true. In fact, I know that taking off all the vinyl would be way easier than it was to just remove the mess left over when I took off the "Launch" and that double sided foam adhesive that was used for that stuff.

I certainly didn't have the money for a full vinyl wrap, and again, I didn't think that something with the 'worlds' theme would have felt right.

Really, it all started when we described the boat as having a 'stormtrooper' color scheme, then I figured it'd be a cool name for the vessle and it all kinda snowballed from there. I had originally planned on getting one of those tribal or flames supra decals you see online, but when I found a vendor that had the Star Jedi font, I went with it.

And Yeah, I like it. Maybe it's a bit out of the norm to put a vessel name on a tournament boat, but here in the Portland area, all we see are big cruisers and sailboats dominating our river.

Yeah, my 7 year old is going to think it's the coolest thing ever. When he was born, we'd decorated his room with an "under the sea" theme, and had lots of fish and nemo charaters and the like. When he was about to turn 5, he told me he'd outgrown the Nemo stuff and wanted something different. I asked what he wanted and he said he wanted a star wars room. That was a proud day for me and it was so much fun to completely do up his room in Star Wars.

One of the big reasons I finally pulled the trigger on my 20+ year dream of owning a boat was because I wanted to give my son the same quality of memories on the water that I'd had growing up. It's pretty damn awesome family time, that's for sure.

    1) I'm an a-hole. Let's all just face it.
    2) I'm opinionated. But I own up to it.
    3) I'm blunt.
    4)I'm an a-hole.
5)I have no room to really make fun of you. If you saw my shop, you would call me out so fast my head would spin. Everything I own is white and black. And most people refer to the whole place as the "ghost squadron". So who am I to make fun.
6)It's not that terrible, but I try not to miss an opportunity to poke fun, especially at something that kinda deserves it. I mean, come'on, you had to know some of this was coming.
    7) Did I mention I'm an a-hole?
